Precautions for operating concrete pump trucks

1) The total weight of objects loaded or placed on the pump truck shall not exceed 200kg to avoid overloading.

2) When driving with spare pipes and other accessories, its load, height, width and length are not allowed to exceed the indicators stipulated in the Road Traffic Law. When crossing underground passages, bridges, tunnels or high-altitude pipelines and high-altitude cables, sufficient space and distance must be ensured.

3) The pumping height and pumping distance of the concrete pump truck are strictly calculated and confirmed by a large number of experiments. No one shall take the following measures to expand the working area:

① It is prohibited to lengthen the pump truck arm delivery pipe.

② It is prohibited to replace the terminal hose that is more than 3m long.

③ It is prohibited to add a delivery pipe or bend at the outlet of the terminal hose.

④ It is prohibited to lengthen the hose at the outlet of the terminal hose.

4) Before the pump truck enters the construction site and unfolds the legs, the parking brake should be pulled down and the wooden wedge should be placed behind the wheel to prevent the pump truck from moving accidentally. At the same time, the pump truck legs must be supported on the horizontal ground, not on the hole, slope or soft ground. After the legs are unfolded, they must be kept horizontal, and the inclination of the front, back, left and right relative to the horizontal plane is less than 3°, otherwise the equipment is prohibited from running.

5) Before lowering the legs, it is necessary to confirm whether the foundation support capacity is sufficient. If the foundation is not sufficient to support, the support plate and auxiliary square wood strips must be installed at the bottom of the legs before lowering the legs.

6) It is forbidden to climb to the turntable and above (such as booms, conveying pipes, etc.) at any time. If the turntable and above parts need to be repaired, the pump truck should be parked in a flat and spacious place to ensure that the pump truck will not move accidentally, then the boom should be folded, the engine should be turned off, the legs should be fixed, and the maintenance personnel should be sent to the faulty part through other auxiliary equipment; or the boom should be folded and laid flat, and the boom should be properly supported to prevent damage to the boom. If the boom balance valve is opened or its set pressure is lowered without fixing the corresponding boom in advance, there will be a risk of the boom falling and injuring people.

7) The driving speed of the pump truck is not allowed to exceed the maximum speed in the technical data sheet, otherwise there will be a risk of tipping over.

8) Before driving on the road, it must be ensured that the boom and outriggers are fully retracted and fixed, otherwise it is not allowed to drive on the road.

9) The center of gravity of the concrete pump truck is high, so it must be slowed down when turning to prevent rollover, and the driving speed should be controlled within 40km/h.

10) Before moving the boom and unfolding the outriggers, check whether there are obstacles around to prevent the boom or outriggers from touching buildings or other obstacles. When the operator is in a position where the entire working area cannot be observed or the distance between the outrigger of the pump truck and adjacent objects cannot be accurately determined, please arrange a signalman to direct.

11) Be careful when operating near electric wires, and pay attention to keeping a proper distance from the electric wires, otherwise all personnel working on and near the pump truck or on the pump truck connection will be in fatal danger. When high-voltage sparks appear, a "high-voltage funnel area" will be formed under and around the equipment. As the center is deviated, the voltage will weaken. Every further funnel area is extremely dangerous! If you step across different voltage zones (step voltages), the potential difference creates a current that flows through your body.
